Discernment: Not by Power or Might but By The Spirit/Word of God

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)

Do not be deceived, our discernment does not come from our own knowledge, wisdom, 20/20 vision, insights, thoughts, or even that " gut" feeling. All that may "work" sometimes, but it can also fail us. That's how we end up in trouble making false accusations about people, situations, and wrong decisions. We try to do it in our on power, might, strength, or knowledge, often without seeking God in prayer and meditation on his Word. Zechariah 4:6 says the Lord spoke: "Not by Power, Not by Might, but by My Spirit!"

The bible clearly says, that the Word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV). The Holy Spirit will lead us unto all Truth (not what we think, or imagine or feel ( thats what the flesh does) but All Truth! .

Further, God's Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light into our path. Many of the answers to the issues,problems, decisions that we face come from an Act of Giving Up Our Will. Humbly. Submissively, Lovingly, giving up our will to Christ and His Word so that our joy may be fulfilled. Surrender and Submissiveness is NOT a bad thing! It is freedom and liberating to our minds, body and soul to give God our burdens and take His light yoke upon us.

All to Jesus, I surrender. All to
Him I freely give. I will ever live and trust Him in his presence daily live.

You have longed for sweet peace and for faith to increase and have earnestly, fervently, prayed. But you can not find rest or be perfect fully blessed until
ALL On the Altar is laid!

Is your all on the Altar of sacrifice laid? Your heart, does the spirit control? You must give Him your body and soul.

A soul that thirsts for the Word of the Lord will be able to discern and do His good will by the POWER of the Holy Spirit that worketh within! Just put on the whole armor of Christ; Faith, Righteousness, Peace, The Truth, Salvation, The Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and STAND and watch the Power of the Lord and His Word that is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword do its great work!
