Relationships

1 Samuel 2:26 CEB

Meanwhile, the boy Samuel kept growing up and was more and more liked by both the LORD and the people.

Luke 2:52 CEB

Jesus matured in wisdom and years, and in favor with God and with people.

Relationships are so important. First of all, our relationship with God, but also with people. Other translations of the bible say that Samuel and Jesus were blessed by God and people. We cannot have a life of victory and blessings if we don't learn to get along, to build relationships...

The least you can do, according to apostle Paul is do everything possible to live in peace with everyone around you.

Romans 12:18 CEB

If possible, to the best of your ability, live at peace with all people.

In order for Samuel to live in victory, he had to be dedicated. He grew in the house of God. He had to leave friendships that wouldn't build him up. And even though he had bad role models in his life, he chose to not follow their example but consecrate his life to God. He understood that he was different and he embraced it. For that, people and God esteemed him and loved him.

Jesus was set apart from the beginning. His parents taught him daily to dedicate his life to God. He separated himself from the world, chose to be different, and because of that people and God esteemed and loved him.
