Obey Leaders?
Hebrews 13:17 "Obey your leaders and follow their orders. They watch over your souls without resting, since they must give to God an account of their service. If you obey them, they will do their work gladly; if not, they will do it with sadness, and that would be of no help to you."
This is a very tough Scripture. As a leader, I can say that this is not one of my favorite passages from the Bible. As a follower, I would argue with this. But the truth is that we should all follow and obey our spiritual leaders. This is not a good idea...this is a biblical principle.
I have a group of men to whom I am submitted. They are pastors who serve as my leaders. Because of my position...wanting to serve God with my whole life, the fear of submission is dwarfed by the fear of rebellion.
