The Blessed Ones

Who are the Blessed Ones? The ones with riches, fine cars? houses? land? What about those that receive all the praises, raises, and get it right every single time? The out-going, outspoken, bold, perfect, healthy, & whole ones?

How about that Sister in church that shouts every Sunday because she is "just so happy all the time". Her life " seems" perfect. Don't forget all those who purposefully from sin day to day, who do not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and seem only to reap the harvest of God's sunshine and Blessings. (For he rains on the just as well as the unjust, and sends sunshine on the righteous as well as the. un-righteous you know).

Yes, all those people are Blessed indeed!

But what about THE ONES? You know... the "OTHER" ONES? The ONES that don't "appear" to be all that blessed according to the world's standards of what "blessed" is.

If we judged Jesus's earthly appearance according to our standards, would He be considered "Blessed?"

He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness…surely He has borne our griefs (weaknesses and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains, yet we ignorantly considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God.”
Isaiah 53: 3, 4
Amplified Bible

The Son of man was despised by many. Some people only followed Him to mock and persecute Him or to get something from Him. He had no earthly possessions; not even a place to lay His head. He wandered from place to place and was often chased out of town. He relied on others for food and shelter.

He is The Prince of Peace but was constantly surrounded by those who wanted to cause confusion. He presented as meek and lowly, not proud and boastful although He had all power and His Father was rich. He also taught a new gospel, righteousness, not self-righteousness, and talked of a new unpopular standard instead of the "popular" religious beliefs and customs of the day. He was ultimately beat, and crucified. Jesus would not have been considered "Blessed" if measured by todays standards.

We have put "Blessed" in a box and labeled it in such a way, that we exclude "The Blessed Ones" that Jesus Himself called by name! God have mercy on us and change our mind sets.

So to The ONES who the world has wrongly and ignorantly judged as not being a "Blessed One", take a look at Matthew 5:1-12 which gives a different view.

The "Blessed Ones" Are (also):

The poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
They that mourn: they shall be comforted.
The meek: shall inherit the earth.
They which hunger and thirst after righteousness: shall be filled.
The merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
The pure in heart: SHALL SEE GOD!
The peacemakers: shall be called the children of God.

They which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

When men shall revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew 5:3-12 KJV)

I want to say to those out there that are struggling, mourning, and poor in spirit right now; those not getting the praises and raises, maybe you don't even have a job....YOU ARE A BLESSED ONE also!

To those who just can't get it right
every time; those who are emotionally broken, those being overlooked, misunderstood, meek which sometimes goes unnoticed, or feel unloved; remember YOU ARE A BLESSED ONE also.

To those that are broken hearted, down in spirit; sick; and constantly being persecuted for doing what's right, trying to keep peace, showing mercy when none is given to you; to those standing for righteousness when others are doing whatever they want and seem to "have it made"; I want to tell you that YOU ARE A BLESSED ONE also.

I pray that we all receive earthly blessings according to Our Father's riches in glory. I pray that God does on earth exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ever ask or even imagine according to the power that worketh in us. I pray that All things be added to those who seek God and His righteousness.... while we are still here on earth. I pray that we are in God's Will, and that we speak and pray His Will (which is in His Word) so that we may receive whatever we ask in Jesus's name as it gives glory to God! I pray all these things!

However, we must also know that while we will reap many harvests here on earth we will receive many of our rewards, promises and blessings and inheritances in Heaven, if we faint not and don't grow weary of obeying and in being in relationship with God.

We must also remember that before any promise of a reward or inheritance, God always gave "some kind" of command. We can look throughout the book of Deuteronomy, especially in chapters 28 and 30 for those types of commands to obey.

Hebrews 11 opens with many Saints and Believers and "Blessed Ones" before us that did not receive their "rewards" (as we understand them), on earth but received them in Heaven. However, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)" (Hebrews 10:23 KJV). For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:36 KJV)

We must rejoice always!...whether or not the rewards or promises be manifested here on earth as it already manifested in Heaven. For the ultimate reward and crown is in heaven. That is the ultimate BLESSING and I want to Be One of those BLESSED ONES!
