Outside the World
Jesus was hung on the cross for our sins outside the camp. He was crucified for us. Mark 8:34 says that we should follow His example by taking up our own cross and following Him. Basically this means that we should crucify our flesh and yield to the ways of God. We have to go outside the camp, get out of the world, and share in His suffering. We have to get away from the mindset that the world is our permanent home, and start living every day as if this is just a temporary home while we are waiting for our redemption and the eternal home that God is preparing for us.
What we do here doesn't really matter. What I mean by that is that it doesn't matter how crazy we look or what people think of what we do, as long as we are living for the Lord and our "craziness" is just us submitting to His will. The earth is just a temporary home; what matters is eternity.
