The greatest downfall of men throughout history
What is the greatest down fall of men though out history. Well in my option in gathering insight from the old and new testament, it is pride. God opposes the proud but gives grace to humble, he who exalts himself will be humbled and he who humbles himself will be exalted. That strand of truth is women through nearly every book of the Bible. Here again we see Paul urging the people of Phillipli not to put any confidence in the flesh but worship in the spirit of God for one purpose that of glorifying Christ . Paul goes on to show that if anyone could have pride in who they are it would be he. But that is all a loss compared to knowing Christ. Think about the most supreme, amazing, perfect and every other awesome descriptive adjective being you can imagine. We can't even begin to lift ourselves to Gods level but that's exactly what we are doing when we are prideful, maybe even unknowingly. Put no confidence in the flesh but in Christ
