Stay focused
this reminds me of the book i recently read to my son, adam racoon and the lost woods. adam racoon and the king are going for a hike and adam brings all of his belongings he has them piled so high he cannot see- he looses everything but a red bouncy ball- they go into dark woods and adam holds tight to the kings hand when they come out of the woods adam begins playing with his bouncy ball-it bounces high and rolls back into the wood-adam runs after it and becomes lost surrounded by hungry wolves-adam cries out for help and the king comes to scare off the wolves and lead adam out of the woods-adam leaves the bouncy ball in the woods- the kingg says "adam, arent you forgetting something? " adam replies " i dont need anything when im with you "
I am easily distracted in my physical life and that carries over in my spiritual life as well. hy husband hates shopping with me because ill have a list but when i get into the store i look around at everything and if something catched my eye im gone..so easily distracted there but if i stick to my list and dont get distracted i am done quickly and dont spend money on unnecessary things. if i read the word and keep my eyes on God and not look around at everything else that is going on around me i am happy and safe and satisfied. when i get distracted chaos abounds and my hunger is never filled.
Lord please help me to keep focused only on you and not be distracted i love the feeling i have when im in your presence safe clearly thinking and happy. keep my feet steady on your path. thank you for freeing me from the bondage i was in
