Our God is the ultimate

In 1 Samuel 5-7, we see just how amazing our God is. When Dagon was in the presence of the ark of God, it was forced to submit and bow down before HIm, even though it was only a statue! Our God is the God of the universe who does'nt need us to defend Him. God can defend himself, we just need to get smart enough to understand that we need Him to defend us! In chapter 7, we see God rescue His people from the combined army of the Philistines. If we want this victory in our lives, then we must do what Samuel tells the Israelites, get rid of all things which are in His place and serve only Him. God is waiting to show Himself strong on our behalf, but we need to first commit to Him. We must move to see the Lord move in our lives. God is always looking for His people, but we can't be His people withotu first being Him.
