struggles
No matter what I'm going through, and how hard it feels, I have not been threatened with death. I have not endured public ridicule or shame. I bear only my own guilt, only the burden of my own sin. And that serves no purpose but to separate me from the Father.
Christ alone has carried the sin of all of us - my sin - so that we can be reconnected with God, experience grace, mercy, and love deeper than anything I have imagined. Only Christ makes it possible to wake up with hope when I have sinned so many times, when I have fallen asleep without thanking God for my breath and my life and His sacrifice, when I feel like nothing. His hope is the miracle.
