There is such a contrast between King Saul and King David. Saul was a man who was admired by nearly everyone but did not have faith in who God called him to be. David was a man looked down on by all tghose close to him, but completely understand who the Lord is and who The Lord called him to be. David was completely obedient and Saul was secretly disobedient. David saw God as his God and Saul as Samuel's God. We have a choice between these two in our lives. Living as man who loves God and trusts Him or living as someone who believes they no more than God.
