Honoring and Remembering Who Our God is...

In 2 Samuel 9, we see King David honoring God and realizing just how amazing and powerful our God is. He asks who has ever heard of a God like our God who has done the things our God has done and of course the answer is none. David was such an accomplished person by anyone's standards and yet he continually reminded himself who it was that brought about his victories in life. David had a heart completely devoted to our God and a heart that continually have thanks. Those who remember the Lord are those who are blessed by Him and are blessed even more. It is easy to get distracted by the busyness of life and forget who it is that has given us every victory and honor. When we forget to remember who it is that blesses us, we become like Saul. David never had to search for where God was blessing him because he was always giving thanks to the Lord and so I must also give thanks to God continually, then I can be a man of honor just like him and a man after God's heart. It has to start with my being able to see just how much God blesses us and that is appearant with I seek Him and bring Him into every part of my life.
