In Bible times woman had very little value...in fact they were not worth much more then an animal & were treated as such!

At very young ages they were promised to a man as surety for business deals...sold into slavery & treated unfairly to put it mildly.

The same is true on this text but God has stepped in to give them a way out of unfair treatment by their husbands.

There was no power in this bitter to curse a woman but there is power in guilt! If this was a false accusation it was Gods way of proving her innocence! Fact is how do you prove your innocent against an accusation lime that unless God steps in.

The world is quick to point the finger & condemn but Jesus is quick to declare us innocent thru his blood. The devil can rightly condemn but the price has been paid!

The woman who was caught in the act of adultery was brought before Jesus & he didn't condemn but set her free! He said Go & sin no more...

This ritual was to used to prove innocence not condemn a woman!
