Day 14 - Weather Men
- Proverbs 20:9 (NIV)
- Proverbs 20:13 (NIV)
- Proverbs 20:18 (NIV)
- Ecclesiastes 8:6 (NIV)
- Ecclesiastes 8:7 (NIV)
9 Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin”? 13 Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare. 18 Plans are established by seeking advice; so if you wage war, obtain guidance. (Proverbs 20:9, 13, 18 TNIV)
Referring to verse 9.
Whether is sexual sin or just keeping your heart pure, in general it is very hard. When Solomon said, "Who can say, ...." Solomon is exactly right who can say they have kept a pure heart, no one. We need to pray to pray to be clean and without sin!
Referring to verse 13.
Being active and not wasting your life by dreaming you will have more food then you need.
Referring to verse 18.
Before we make big decisions, we need to seek advice from people you trust.
Since no one knows the future, who can say what is to come? (Ecclesiastes 8:7 TNIV)
Referring to verse 7.
Do you know why Weather men get the weather wrong all the time? They don't know the future. It is meaningless for us to look up at the sky and predict what is going to happen tomorrow. Use your time for the NOW!
