Day 18 - Life Lessons!

11As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.

18 Like a maniac shooting flaming arrows of death 19 is one who deceives a neighbor and says, “I was only joking!”

20 Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down. (Proverbs 26:11, 18-20 TNIV)

Verse 11-
Solomon paints a nasty picture when is comes to folly(sin). As we repeat the same sins over and over again it's like we eat our own vomit. HOW NASTY IS THAT? Simple question, Why do we still sin??

Verse 18,19 -
This verse was shared to me by my Math teacher in 8th grade and it has always been a verse I remind myself of. We say, "Just joking," all the time. When will we be truthful will everything we say??

Verse 20 -
Gossip adds fuel to the fire. Without fuel there is no fire. What will make us stop adding fuel to the fire??

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.
Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips. (Proverbs 27:1, 2 TNIV)

Simple verses, simple lessons! Will you live by them??
