Aaron was such a wimpy man
It is so sad that the people didn't even threaten to kill him, they just wanted to know where Moses was and a physical god. So, Aaron (the "priest" who was given words BY God to speak), decides to take their gold, silver jewelry and make a calf for them to worship. It so sad that a man being used by God can provide another god for the Israelites. It's so unfortunate, but we still see this being a problem TODAY. Our leaders are followers of the crowd and will do anything to appease them.
