day 89 bible in a year 2012

Could you imagine if we lived in the time of the old testament. Having to go around a kill people that didn't believe in god and worshiped things like the sun. And would you be one of the people being hunted down and slaughtered or would you be a slaughterer? But since we don't live in that time and Jesus came to save us all. We still must keep away from false religion and be sure not to fall away from god. But at the same time we are to show people what Jesus did for us and the way to grow close to him.
So many people think that the tithe we are to give to god is for the church alone. But it is for so much more than for our church. Yes the only way church continues to stay open is if we tithe. But if the church does not receive enough I don't think god will let it go and be closed. But we are to give our tithe to the church and to the people around us who need it. There are many people why need food who are homeless or single moms that need help because they are on there own. We should be helping them as well as the church. So save some of the tithe and go take a homeless person out to a hot meal or buy them some cloths. Ask them what they need and give it to them. You may be surprised at what they ask for as what they need. There was one man that asked for a bottle of windex so he can wash people's windows for money. He wants to work but can't in the normal sense.
If someone owes you money and they truly can't pay you back release them from the debt and let it be forgotten. Do not hold it over there head. And if they insist that they pay you back then let them. But don't bother them for the money for you already said that they were forgiven and they are wanting to give it back so let them do it in there time. And if you don't see it again do not worry about it. Let it go.

This reminds me that no matter what we ask god for he is willing to help us in a way. But his timing and our timing is very different. He may wait to help because it will help us grow in faith in the end. And that is what we all need. We must trust god with everything in our life and continue on waiting for him to do what is right for us when he sees fit. I think of a saying "gods answer to our prayers is one of three ways usually. Yes, not now, or I have something better in mind." I find the not now is the most common and combined with something better.

We all may not have the power to heal or to cast out demons because of what ever reason. But the way we should go about helping people should be the same as what Jesus told his disciples. We should try to help anyone and everyone but if someone refuses our help we should shake the dust from our feet and leave them. For we can't not help those who refuse to listen to what is right.

I've noticed a running theme for many of the psalms and that is no matter what we are going threw we can always turn to god for help. And beg for him to listen to our pleas of help for what we are going threw. And god being who he is is always there to listen although it might not be apparent all the time he is always there for us. He will always protect us from the things in this world but there are things that we have to go threw to be better people. But pray and ask hos for what ever you need help with.

We should always be mindful of what we say and do in our lives and what the people close to us do. So we do not fall into wicked ways. We need to hold each other accountable for what we do and correct our selfs when we do wrong so we don't make a habit of doing wrong. And we should help our loved ones do what is right and be that person that holds them accountable to do what is right.
