supernatural
2 Kings 6:5-7 NLT
But as one of them was cutting a tree, his ax head fell into the river. “Oh, sir!” he cried. “It was a borrowed ax!”
“Where did it fall?” the man of God asked. When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. Then the ax head floated to the surface. “Grab it,” Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it.
an ax head does not naturally float. it sinks. and that is exactly what happened. as they were cutting the trees and his ax broke, the head of it sunk in the river. that is a REAL problem. Two ways to deal with it: naturally and supernaturally. of course, there is the option of not dealing with it at all, which in the future will cause even more problems (dealing with the owner, since it was a borrowed ax, paying it off, not having an ax to work with, etc...).
A. the natural way to deal with this situation would be to scuba dive to the bottom of the river and try to find it - very time consuming and many chances that it will not be found.
B. the supernatural way - allow God into ur problems. let Him into ur life and let Holy Spirit to resolve ur issues. this man went to the man of God. man of God asked him where the ax fell - he was trying to find the root of the problem, where the situation took place.
1. you cannot deal with the problem until u find the root of it, need to go back to the place where it began and deal with it at the source.
when the man of God threw in a stick at that spot, he told the man to reach out and grab the ax head. he needed to take action.
2. the miracle could be right in front of u, but if u don't reach out and receive it, it will never happen in ur life. u will miss out on every opportunity to be healed, to break through, to get an answer to ur prayer, etc... need to act in faith and the supernatural will happen!
