Prayer of desperation
This verse is scary to read but often so representative of human behavior. We usually are most earnest in seeking God in our misery. When we are at the brink of death, total depression, insanity, total lack, desperation, then we begin to cry out to God. Scary to read but so true in our experience in living for God. Wonder why God wants to bring us to our lowest or will allow us to bring ourselves to the lowest in our sin so that we can once again cry out for help. Cry out a prayer of desperation.
