Grace = the unmerited favor of God.
When sin is in your life it is equal to being dead. When you accept Jesus in your life, you become alive. Before Jesus, Satan was at work in the world. (v. 2). Satan is always at work in the world wether we know it or not. Satan was influencing the people. If God is not at work in our lives we are unwittingly embracing the work of Satan in our lives.
Saying "That's just how I am" is NOT an excuse. That is falling back into our old ways. Being like this subjects us to God's anger.
Revelation 12:10-11
Even ONE sin is enough for a guilty verdict from the Judge. God knows what we do/did. In order to overcome the accuser is not by denying the sin. This is where the Son of God comes in. He steps in and shuts the accuser up. The enemy had control. When Jesus comes in, the judge still rules but Jesus takes the punishment for us. Whatever the accuser puts in our brain, we self-incriminate and let him poison our mind. Satan is not telling God anything new but all we have to do is apply the blood of Jesus to our lives and then Satan can't attack us at all. His influence is no more.
SATAN IS NOT AN EQUAL OPPOSITE TO GOD. HE IS GREATER.
If you recognize that even if we sin Satan isn't "winning" in our lives and that God is greater we are free.
Romans 12
Be transformed by the way you think.
God chooses you and gives His grace to you no matter what you've done in your past. You may need new"grace mentors" in your life if your past ones weren't positive. God accepts you whether you are/have been right or wrong. Pointing out others' failures prevents us from exhibiting the grace of God. Karma is NOT a Christian value. Do not exhibit transactional relationships (you get what you give). we get upset because "things aren't fair" or we can't control or manipulate a situation so we need to trust God in these circumstances. We have to trust God for the people in our lives. We need to release God to do the work in our lives.
Salvation is NOT a reward. Grace has a face: yours.
God wants to use us towards others. When this go wrong do we control the situation and shut it down or do we give God control. Others will know and see the Kingdom of God simply because they saw us LIVE IT OUT. We are God's best endorsement to the world. His grace is sufficient to heal ANYTHING. God's powers are best in places that show His grace.
