WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1) He is my helper- John 14:16-17
- without help you cannot get anything from the Bible.
2) He is my friend- John 14:15-17
3) He is God- Acts 5:3

HOW DO WE GET FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT?
1. Prepare heart
2. Ask and receive

4 OBSTACLES IN PREPARING OUR HEART:
1. Disregard or casual attitude towards the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
-The primary method the Jesus gave us to distinguish a non-Christian from a Christian is character.
-The Holy Spirit is God and the Holy Spirit I'd God's only agent to produce character in our life.
-Satan wants to deceive us and keep us blinded to genuine character so he can implant false character in our hearts.
-Character is the foundation for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and everything else God does in our life.
*We are a self-centered society.
2. We have no personal mission for God.
-Holy Spirit will not fill you just for you to sit upon it without sharing it.
-God wants to use you for His purpose.
-What is your purpose? What is your talent? Who are you supposed to reach?
-Next 6 months- what is your Godly plan?
3. Past experience and wrong ideas.
-We serve a loving God who wants us to baptized in the Holy Spirit.
MOST IMPORTANT ===> 4. A lack of surrender to God.

PREPARING TO RECEIVE THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:
1. Repent of any rebellion and unforgiveness and unconfessed sins.
2. Ask God to baptize you in the Holy Spirit as you invite Him in.
3. Receive Him by faith.
4. Begin to daily relate to the Holy Spirit and depend on Him.
