All your plans and dreams are either on hold or some people have become so discourage, that they feel there is not hope and future, their dreams have been shattered!

Every one is looking for an answer, yet many are searching for them in the wrong areas.

Just recently, my family and I took a trip to San Diego for my wife birthday having at a nice restaurant over looking the bay.

As we were having lunch, the sidewalks was full of vendors selling their wares, souvenirs etc. But the busy person on the walk was a spiritualist or palm reader, whatever you may want to call them. This person had a small line around her table as the other vendors were trying their best to sell what they have.

Now I know I didn't know the circumstances of these people who paid their good money to this person, but I thought to myself, "why are they turning to a palm reader? They don't have anything to offer, at least, not the truth."

Yep it was amazing as I watched and they all seemed to walk away after having their palm read with a smile of their face.

Really, did this spiritualist just give good news only? That's what seemed to be happening, only good things. The fact is, life is not full of good things, like the stock market, life has its up and downs.

Though I may never cross the path with these people again except for what I saw that day, I have to asked myself, why did they go to a spiritualist or palm reader?

I really don't know, but I do know that if they told me they believed and followed the Lord I would question them.

You see, these palm readers, the President of U.S., leaders of other country's don't have any answer, not one of them, not even your closes friend. Only God has the answers.

So with that in mind, lets go back to the beginning of my note, "Where is God in all this?"

He is very near, in fact when you read my text, just look at verse 13-;

"If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me. I will be found by you, says the Lord.

Yep that sums it up, God is right there, waiting on you and me.

You see in world where the economy has turned sour, there really is a hope for the future. My text tells us that. But it is up to us to turn to the only hope we have and that is to seek God wholeheartedly.

Yeah, I know, you say you do, right! So do I. But our actions says more about where our hearts truly are then our words.

You see, if we truly believe what God says, then unlike the world, we can smile at adversity knowing that we truly have a hope and future because we have surrender our lives totally over to God.

Why? Because God never lies! That is a simple fact, yet we are no different than the people Jeremiah is speaking to. We want to pick and choose are own walk instead of following God's way of doing things.

To believe the words of my text today, takes mountain moving faith, Because our eyes and ears will deceive us.

Many of us have lost our jobs, homes and etc, and it can wear on a person to the point that we wonder where our Lord is in all of this. Yeah, I am one of them.

My situation, I believe, is a wake up call from the Lord. Yes, I am the one who is responsible for my short coming.

I gain a little more and I was a bad stewart of what was given me. God did not create my problems, I did.

Whoops, I told on myself, but that is to let you know, I am a flawed human.

God loves both you and me, that He wants us to realize that we are not independent from Him. Sometimes we can be hard headed and He has to hit over the head with a 2 x 4 to get our attention.

The Lord only has good for us or He would not have said so. Does that mean we will go through life without challenges, conflicts or adversity? No, He never told us or promise us we would.

What He told was that He is in control and all we have to do is follow and obey Him, then when these challenges come up, unlike a person that still does not know Him or just denies Him, we can walk with joy in our hearts knowing that this is just a season to strengthen our faith and grow in Him.

It is taking the comfort He give us during these difficult and challenging times we faced and comforting others who don't know where to turn to and are going through the same thing we have experienced and letting them know that God is alive and well, and that this is what He has done for me and He will do it for you if you call on Him. It is one of the strongest witnessing tools we have and it glorifies Him.

So really, if you think there is no hope for the future, well think again because God does have a plan! It is for our good, and it give us hope for the future that you can count on it!

Always be encourage, don't seek other means for help, just call on the Lord because those who do, wholeheartedly, will find Him and He will come into you heart and help you through everything you are facing during these trying times!
