How do we get from believing to doing?
We get trapped in a way of thinking that tells us God loves us more if we do better and less if we mess up. This verse bridges the first half of Ephesians with the second half. God love and acceptance of us comes before the "doing", not after. Meditate on this last part of chapter 3 and fully understand the dimensions of God's love before you go into chapter f4 and learn all the "doings". Many people tell us what they think we are worth but the only opinion that matters is Christ's. We need to experience ourselves being loved unconditionally by Christ. there is nothing that we can do that conditions His love for us. We need to do more than just hear Him say it, we need to believe it. We place enough conditions on ourselves. God doesn't do that too. It's hard to see ourselves as God sees us. There's no way that we can prepare ourselves to be presentable to Christ. He already knows everything and loves us no matter what.
