Vist the Temple

In a society like ours, where visiting the "temple" means going to the church house on Sunday, what can this possibly mean to us.

"You bless all who depend on you for their strength and all who deeply desire to visit your temple."

The desire to depend on God's strength is easy. We need God and I don't know about you but every day I need his strength just to get through a day. But what about the desire to visit the temple? I love my church, but rarely do I have a desire to visit a building, so I don't imagine God is talking about it that way. God was present in the temple for the Israelites and the desire to visit there meant a desire to be near to God. Fortunately for us, that requires nothing but a heartfelt desire. We can draw near to him when we choose to. God is always there and wants to spend time with us, he waits for us to draw along side and spend time with him. Funny thing is that the more time you spend, the more you want to. That's the relationship, walking with you, ready to hear about everything you want to talk about with him. God longs for our visits. So visit the temple.
