Fear of the Lord is a good thing!
Is it possible to love God and fear God at the same time? Doesn't perfect love drive out all fear?

But if there is one thing that is actually good to fear it is God. This fear will keep me from thinking myself wise, and being misled by my ego. This is not a fear that paralysis but one that protects and keeps me teachable.

Proverbs 3:7-8
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

3:9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction: 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

You deserve all honor, all love, and all reverent fear. Thank you for Your teachings, Your blessings, and your chastisements. May I accept all you give me with humility and love!
