Why Praise

Four times the Psalmist states: "You should praise the Lord for his love and for the wonderful things he does for all of us."
Does God demand our praise? I think yes is the rightful answer, God does demand our praise, our obedience, our trust, our worship, our everything. But because God is love, he didn't come demanding his RIGHTFUL glory from us, he asks for it only after he gave first. We should praise God for who he is and not what he has done for us, but God knows us. Without the relationship, that God builds first with us, all the praise would be empty. And if we only praise God during good times, and when he gives wonderful things to us, then we are merely users. The first command is "for his love"and "for the wonderful things he does.Just like our kids that we love, we don't give them everything they want and they are disciplined because of our love. God is the same. Regardless of the circumstance, regardless of our "feelings" we know that God loves us and does wonderful things for us - ALL THE TIME. Therefore we should praise him continually.
