not our righteousness
Before this verse God reminded the Israelites that He is giving them the promised land not because they are righteousness but for the wickedness of the anakites. In this verse He said it again. After this verse again He reminded them not their righteousness because they are stiff necked people.
Sometimes when God blesses we can be too quick to come to a conclusion that it is because we are good, because of how we obeyed in certain ways , that is why he gave to us and not to another. If we have this mindset, the day god takes away we might stop worshipping him, as the Israelites did with the golden calf. God promises according to His purposes and plans. We are but a part of that huge magnificent plan he has to redeem the world. We should be grateful that he uses us at all. Let us work with God to fulfill his will instead of basking in self glory.
