To become a blessing to God's guests
O God, you want your family to become vessels of blessing to the guests of your house. This means you want us to be utensils for service, glorious service, in your house. You want your family to not wait to be waited upon -- not to be the receivers of grace in your house -- not even to be the servants in your house. God, you want us to rejoice in being the utensils upon which the feast is served. We are not the feast: the Bread and The Wine are the Body of Christ. One day in your courts are more desired than a thousand elsewhere. Open my eyes, O God, to ways I can become a platter of gold for your feast, for you guests, in your house. Here, I am sure to find joy everlasting. Amen.
