The Power to Choose

Being a follower of Christ means that I am free from the power that sin once had on me. Now I have the power of God's Spirit to say no to old sinful habits. Saying no to sin sometimes can be a grueling thing. It's hard to resist what's human nature! (lying, cheating, lusting, etc.) But we still have the power to choose. It's easy to give in to sin when your faith is weak. If you don't believe by faith that God can satisfy you more than sinful things can, you'll never choose to put your trust in Him and you will continue to struggle with the same old things. Today, I encourage you brothers ans sisters to choose to fight for your freedom. We have the victory!
