invisible Leadership
Jesus heals this man of his blindness and instead of sticking around for the credit he intentionally leaves the scene.
I wonder why I'm not like that?
What I mean is that anytime something positive happens in our church instead of running from the credit I tend to run towards the credit.
I'm such a glory-hog!
I wanna be more like Christ is here. I'm sure you do too! He simply met a need and didn't smile for the cameras or sign autographs. That's invisible leadership. It doesn't mean that you are never present...it means that you don't live or lead for only the credit.
Let's face it, we all want to be successful and recognized as front runners in what we do. Let's take the rest of today and search our hearts to see if we are glory-hogs. Don't get so caught up in the intoxication of public praise that you forget "blessed are the meek..."
I leave you with the words of one of my great mentors: Seek after obedience not significance...for you'll soon find that significance always follows obedience.
