Righteous
Jesus says, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. For I have not come time call the righteous, but the sinners."
The ones that are sure they are righteous cannot be saved, because the first step in following Jesus is admitting our need for him. That is why it seems easier for the hurting sinners to bow down before the Lord; for they can easily see there need for him!!
People who seem to have it more together, ones that consider themselves morally correct, must realize that they too are sinners in need a savior. For Paul explains in Rom 3: 10 that "no-one is righteous, not even one!".
Many will say, I'm not a bad person... But, even the "good" must think.. have I ever lied? Have I ever gotten angry or hurt anyone wIth my words? REMEMBER, "We are all guIlty before God!" Dont deny that your a sInner.. just admIt your need and turn to Christ!
We are ALL sinners in need of a perfect savior, only to be made righteous by what HE has done- something none of us could do for ourselves.
Prayer- Thank you Lord for the life you have given me.. thank you for the LOW times that have made me realize my need for you, Lord Jesus! It is you, and you alone, that makes me RIGHTEOUS! I love you with all that I am and all that I have!!
