Sermon 120805 - No Condemnation - Joseph Prince

Rom 6:1-3

Acts 21:16

God is my father, that is the privilege Jesus has given us. A door to intimacy with our Creator.

Good followers always end up as good leaders.
Follow Jesus.

Rom 5:20-21

John 8:11-12

No condemnation comes first,
Then go and sin no more.

When you receive no condemnation,
you are empowered to sin no more.

Gen 30:22-23

Reproach in Hebrew "fencing you from relaxing"

Leadership lessons on handling sin from Leviticus (dealing with leprosy)
No haste (make sure it's leprosy before pronouncing it as such, cos condemnation is powerful )
No indifference (keep checking)

David saw the problem of Goliath, it was not in his size, it was his reproach on Israel.

Rom 6:9-18

Reckon in Greek" count over, take into account, meditate on"

Jesus died to:
The imputation, guilt and the penalty of sin.
Once and for all.

He didn't die to sin's influence and power, because He was never under sin's influence & power.

Likewise so can reckon the same for us.
We are dead to the imputation, guilt/condemnation, and the penalty of sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

But what about sin's influence and power over us?

Therefore with no condemnation, we are empowered over sin.

When we are under grace instead of the law, when there is no condemnation. Sin loses its influence and power over us.

We need to understand that we are dead to sin's imputation, guilt /condemnation and penalty, because that empowers us to sin no more. Sin's influence and power is broken when we understand the first part.

1 Peter 2:24

Righteousness is a gift, we are to live to that, we not through our strength but through God's gift through Jesus.

Forgiveness is required for healing.
