God: you have chosen your people to belong. Our relationship is not based on a blood ancestry but on a faith, hope, and love descendency. You show yourself, O God, to be faithful to generations who love you and keep your commandments. This is truly the imagery of a Marriage Between Bride and Groom even more than of Father and Son - tho both are biblical images and both are ultimately based on love and faith. Open my eyes to you, O God, how to love you more and how to receive the love you bring into my life. Assure me of your hope in this love is enduring and even growing and not fading or walking away. Help me not to bend and break under disappointment, dissolutionment, or despair. Thank you for your eternal WORD which sustains me. I fear not, O God, for you have redeemed me by your unending grace and tender kindness. Glory to God!
