God just brought the Israelites out of Egypt, out of bondage and slavery to the wrong king. Then sets them up with the correct bondage, healthy slavery. In this life we will either be a slave to sin or a slave to Jesus.
Who do we WORSHIP?
1. The ONE true God: Jesus.
God chose to love these people, to speak to the, to free them, and to guide them. God still speaks to his chosen people now through His word, setting Him apart from EVERY OTHER god.
Many of us would say that we worship the one, true God. Yet we treat His bride, the church, like a hobby. If you want to be friends with me, but don't like my wife, we are probably not going to be very good friends.
Our idols are not just to be put away, but utterly destroyed!
2. An extremely gracious God.
Romans 5:8 "While we yet sinners, Christ died for us." We did not have to get ourselves right first, before God would die for us. He loves YOU THAT much!
If we would hit our knees the way we are really called to, in humility and prayer, God could move SO powerfully. Revival is not about people coming to Jesus, it is about His church waking up and being who they are called to be.
A lot of us desire to hear from God, but are waiting for something audible... If you want to hear from God, open the Word, He WILL speak to you!
3. We worship a jealous God who came to redeem us.
No other god has walked out of a tomb, our God, Jesus, did.
How do we worship?
> Surrender to Jesus
>Gather with other Believers
>Reflect the Image of Jesus
