What to pray for...
Two nights ago when getting ready to say prayers with Gideon, I said, "Son, do you have a word from the Lord!?" He responded with a little exasperation because he doesn't like it when I ask him questions before bed time about prayer and so he said, as he almost always does when I ask him what he wants to pray for, with 2 words: "JUST PRAY!"
Well, I think that was the word from the Lord I needed to hear. Sometimes we Christians have a hard time "JUST PRAYING." We want to talk about how things are going, and see what prayer requests are out there. God knows our needs before we even ask them! -- At 0500 in a prayer room at Mt Ararat Baptist Church, we "just pray!"
