No Matter Who or What We Are; We Must PRAY

The scripture for today Psalms 100 fits perfectly with this devotion. We must praise The Lord, rejoice, enter His courts with Praise and Thanksgiving. Make a Joyful Noise! All of these things includes a. lifestyle of PRAYER as well. In 1 Thess 5:17 we find that we are to pray without ceasing. This means to pray at all times. Even when our mouths are not uttering words of prayer, our hearts and spirit should still be in the position of prayer. Prayer is a lifestyle. It is not what believers do, it is an essential part of WHO believers ARE. I could go further and say that ALL people were created to praise and pray. Even demons bow down at the name of The Lord. In essence, every living thing and person, sinner, saved, believer, non-believer has the right and privilege to praise and pray without ceasing.

There is much debate over whether God honors a "non-believer's" prayers (those who have not repented, and or asked for forgiveness, and or received Him as LORD and Savior). There are verses in the Old Testament that elude to God turning a deaf ear to the Israelites who were living in sin.

God says that we must seek forgiveness from our brother before we approach the altar with our sacrifices and prayers. The Word says that obedience is better than sacrifice. This "debate" concerning whether God hears a "sinner's prayer will go on and on. However, I say PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! Pray without ceasing! At all times! No matter who or what or where you are in life. Continue to pray. God will decide whether to honor it or not. Just Have Faith and Pray anyway!

I say this because being JUSTIFIED by FAITH and not of our good works, and knowing that God is faithful, merciful and full of grace, and knowing that we all are as filthy rags in his sight because its HIS righteousness not our own that keeps us. Knowing that the blood that was shed for ALL NEVER loses its power. Knowing that God does not want anyone to perish in their sins. Knowing that this scripture says "Pray at all times"... I believe that God does hear and wants ALL of us to pray. He also wants us to repent, turn from sin, seek forgiveness from our fellow man and sin no more so that we can FULLY LIVE and EXPERIENCE His AWESOME POWER in our lives and SEE the manifestation of our prayers go to a new and higher level according to His Will which is His Holy Word.

It's between God and the unsaved praying individual to workout the relationship part. But I ask, how can the unsaved ever get to know, trust, believe and witness the True God if he or she does not PRAY, which means to communicate with God? Without communication, there can be no relationship. So...No matter who or what we are, WE MUST PRAY!
