Let us never forget
It is often said that we can never move forward if we continue to live in the past. That is often true. However, if we want to move forward in the abundance of God in Christ and continue to be Blessed, and live in His glory and His righteousness it is a good thing to reflect on and remember our past blessings. We must thank Him and reflect on His goodness, His greatness, His grace and mercy. We must praise and thank Him for His past blessings and for what is to come. Our future depends on this "practice" of never forgetting our past.
We must never forget what He has brought us through if we want to continue to move forward. In times when it seems like things are not going "right" we can look back over ALL that God has done.
I keep a special prayer and petition list. Though I can never keep up with ALL that God has done in my life because His blessings are too numerous too count and some blessings are unseen and are unknown. I can however, go back from time to time and look at my little list and Thank God for those things. It also brings me back to my knees to focus on how Great and Awesome God is. Sometimes in my flesh I forget that I prayed for something and that He answered and brought it to manifest.
Father God, I thank You for what You have done, but more importantly I praise, worship and thank you for Who You Are! I pray that I never forget. May I be reminded that You God, are the same God of yesterday, today and forever more.
