Testing
What is this testing? Ask any follower of Jesus and you will find multiple different answers. The key to remember is that the testing is unique to each of us. Just as we are created unique, we all are walking different paths. I think this is one reason why it is so important not to look at the circumstances in a persons life and judge their handling of it. As I try to teach my children, it's so hard to explain that sometimes we are presented with a problem or challenge, not because of anything we did wrong, but to prepare us for something God has in our future.
I have often stated that if we change our outlook, we can change our attitude. God tells us we will be tested. And for me, it's some of the hardest times I have ever gone through. Learning to trust God, doesn't come from just reading his word, going to church and prayer, the trust comes when we are placed in situations that we can't handle. You will never truly trust God, until you are put in a situation, where only God can do. It's like my dad used to say, it's where the rubber meets the words. We can talk about it all day long, we can profess it and shout it to the rooftops but until we put our words into action, it's just words.
Know that we will be tested and look at each challenge as the opportunity to grow in your faith. Change your outlook, change your life.
