BE CAREFUL HOW YOU LIVE
How many times have you said those words to someone or had them said to you? ("Be careful."). I've said them so often, that I don't really stop & think about what it reAlly means any more.
God specifically tells us to be careful how we live! What is He saying? There's a lot of evil in the world today. He doesn't want us blending in! So, He tells us ,"BE CAREFUL!" Ok, so what is it that God wants me to do???
Many times, I find that I act impulsively, spur of the moment, or an immediate reaction. God doesn't want me to do that! He wants me to THINK before I act!! He wants me to seek Him & what He would have me do, to be wise in all I do making the most of every opportunity He gives me. That's what God means when He tells us to Be Careful How We Live!!!
As Christians, everything we do reflects back on Christ. Sometimes it's a good reflection & at other times its a poor reflection. The world needs to SEE Gods Word in action. The only way they can do that is by watching His children. The world is in trouble & we are the rope attached to the only life line available; Jesus!
In Ephesians 5. God gives us some specifics to help us live. The very first thing He says is, IMITATE GOD! That pretty much says it all. We are to act like God! If you don't think God would do it, then you shouldn't do it. Secondly, live a life FILLED with love. Let everything you do be done lovingly. Keep yourself away from & out of sexual immorality, impurity, greed, foolish tall, obscenities, & make no excuses! God sees everything. Some people may think they are hiding their actions, but one day everything's going to have a big bright light shined on them & everything will be out in the open. Don't worry about how anyone else is living their life. It's not your concern!
We say that we are Christians. So, them, we need to live as people of the Light!! The Light inside of us will only produce what is good, right, & true!! So, we must be careful how we live! Seek God in all things regardless of how small. God wants all of you!' Ask yourself, what would please God in this situation? What does He want me to do?
As I told you earlier, I can often be impulsive & react in situations. This isn't what God wants for me. It's not truly what I want either. This means I have to slow down, BE CAREFUL, seek God, be full of God & listen to Him so He can lead me in how I live.
Lord, I honestly want to honor You in my life. Please, forgive me for the times I haven't been careful in the way I lived. Father, help me to live carefully! Remind me to Think before I act & let my actions imitate yours. Help me to be a light for you in a world filled with darkness in all I do.
