Deeper Care
1 Peter 5:7 has a deeper meaning to me this morning. As I laid in my bed on last night crying out to God about a certain personal issue, I began to know Him even more as a Comforter. In the midnight hour of our lives, God cares so much and He feels the pain we feel and He knows our hurts. Even when others aren't there to "ease" our pain and comfort us, He is always there. When we just take the time to pour our hearts out to Him and patiently wait for Him to pour His love on us, He makes it so much better. People can only go so far, but God can do it all. As I lay there talking to God and pouring my heart out to Him, I felt His love wrap around me like a soft silk scarf and I felt such a peace. God is so compassionate and only when we decide to give Him our issues and struggles and problems is when He makes it all better. Just as a mom kisses her baby's boo-boo, and makes it better, so does God nuture us back to health. He takes the pain away and He loves all the hurt away. The situation may not change, but He always help us out and helps us to deal with it. Our God is so gentle and loving and He waits for us to run into His arms so that He can take our burdens and issues and struggles. He doesn't want us carrying them around all our lives and allowing bitterness and hatefulness and anger to grow. He wants to bear it for us so that we won't be miserable and resentful all our lives. God cares so much for us. He loves us so much.
