Witnessing or simply put: Passed the WORD

Here is a test for all of us. I have taken it and failed.

The questions is: If we don't witness, would it be considered a sin?

I find it interesting because, I would have said no, but Gods word give us the truth and it can be considered a sin.

Why you may asked? Simple, if we love the Lord with all of our heart, soul and mind, we would obey everything He commanded us to do in it. So basically, if we don't witness, it would considered disobedient to His word.

You see when we look at Mark 16:15,

Jesus tells His disciples, which by the way we are to, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone."

Jesus didn't say to keep it to ourselves, and He did not to pick and choose, He told us to go into all the world.

Then we can turn over into Matthew 28, which even states it better:

then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him...

Jesus came and told the disciples, "I have been given authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

As you see it is not a choice but a command that is to be followed.

If we don't spread the word as Jesus tells us, would there be consequences? Yes I think they would be and even before Jesus came to the earth we see that this command actually was told before He arrived as we read my text:

Ezekiel 3:18 If I warn the wicked, saying, you are under the penalty of death (sins), but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins and I will hold you responsible for their deaths.

Now talk about given us a stern warning, it can't be ,more plainly written then written here.

You see, God does not want His creation to perish and He has commanded us to pass along His word. Yes I know it is true that He could just change our minds in a twinkling of eye, but He chooses not because He has given us humans a right to choose and He will not infringe on this.

So God takes those who have come into His family to spread the Good News.

So it is our responsibility, once we accept believe and accept the Lord to obey His commands and pass it on to others.

There is no picking or choosing. We don't have the right because we don't get along with a certain person and not tell them about Jesus. No, we are to go and tell everyone, bottom line.

Yet so many of don't. Why? I really don't know because I am guilty as anyone else. It is not up to the Pastors or leaders of the church, though they are not exempt from telling others. It is all who have come to Jesus to work as a team to reach those who still don't know the Lord, or who knows but have not follow through with accepting Him and so forth.

Maybe we just don't have the confidence to tell others or maybe we hold a grudge against someone, or maybe we don't tell others because of fear of failure. Pick one of the reasons why, yet when we don't, and God sends that person into our lives and we do nothing, then we are responsible.

You see we have a choice, but remember telling others of Jesus in not a pick and choose choice, we are to tell others of Him, making them disciples just as we became and teach them!

And think about this, we need not be fearful because Jesus is with us at all times!

There are several ways to witness to others, with the main one being word of mouth. We need to open speak to them regarding Jesus in a loving way, not in a condemning way as I have so often in the pass and walk it.

Being a Christian is not as easy as some think, we have a lot of responsibility to others, because we might be the only Jesus they will know until Jesus comes for us.

It comes down to this, we need to walk the talk. We are being watched by others. Jesus was a perfect example of His Father, if you knew Jesus you knew God the Father. It is the same for us. If Jesus is in us, then people will know who He is and who His Father is.

The sad part of this is that we are not perfected as our Lord and will stumble and fail at times, but Jesus will pick us up.

So, since I think I maybe heading another directions as I sometimes do, let me conclude with this.

Don't let anything stand in your way of spreading the word regarding Jesus. Everyone needs Him. Think about how you came to Christ? Some were raised in a family of believers and then there are many like me who came in from the world and it was someone who obeyed the Jesus and told me about Him. If they did not, who knows where i would be, definitely not here writing.

So go and spread the WORD! JESUS IS ALIVE AND WELL! He came and died for us and three days later rose from the grave as He said He would so we who believe and follow Him will can live!

As the Nike theme says, Just Do It! Jesus will be there to help us!

Amen
