Works without Faith
We're all familiar ith the concept that faith without actions that express it is a dead faith indeed. If your faith does not influence your actions, decisions, etc. (works), then it is useless (see James 2:19).
But...consider instead all those in the world who have works without faith. Consider all those whose actions demonstrate a Christian life even if they are not familiarvwith or have seriously considered and accepted the Christain faith.
Are their works not evidence of a faith or belief they have whether or not it is formal Christianity?
When I say I have faith but have not the actions that express it, is not my faith useless?
We do not believe that our right actions save us, but we do believe that belief without actions does not save us either.
Is it possible there are unbelievers who are closer to God through their righteous living than we are through our righteous believing?
