9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that god hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

17 so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of god.

seek knowledge and understanding from the word of god (the bible) and you will grow your faith. with faith you can confess with your mouth (yes, out loud)

this does not mean that i believe someone who hears a sermon.
then confesses and gives their life to the lord.
dies on the way home, is going to hell because they have never read the word of god.

no way, it's just good to read the word of god because your faith is strengthened.

can someone who is raised "in the church" be ignorant of the whole shebang? the bible says so. romans 9:11-23 really the whole chapter 9 but those verses go into it a bit.

share the wondrous works of the lord, when someone asks you why or how you can have such hope, tell them. read your bible, share the hope, seek the face of god, sing praises to his name, pray continually.
