Is God Love or is he the God from the Old Testament?
Recently I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is really struggling with his salvation. I told him that we should start getting together and having Bible studies again like we used to. His attitude was that he no longer believed that God wrote the Bible that it was written by mere man who was not inspired by God. Also, that the Church was just a place that wanted to control people and also condemn those who don't want to convert. As a believer I totally disagree with this way of thinking.
We all know that as believers, the Bible is God inspired scripture. Man was just the instrument to write it down. Right? It is very sad to say that to many people are falling away from the faith in this way of thinking. Could this be what the Bible talks about? The great Apostasy? We are told that In the last days there will be a great falling away of the faith. Meaning that many people or believers will no longer believe and be led away by false teachers and Prophets. This however is during the great Tribulation. So than what is going on? I believe that the reason for all this is because we as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ have fallen asleep. You could call us the disciples the night that Jesus was arrested. I have to say that many believers not only fail to minister to people, we fail to go out and make it a point to hit the streets and evangelize. Matthew Tells us actually commands us from the Lord to " Go and make disciples of all men, Baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost ". Have we done this? I have to admit, even though I truly find myself ministering to many, I fail to make it a point all the time to GO and Baptize those in the name of....
As I told my friend, that he needs to realize that what he is failing to believe is that God is a God of Love be he is also a God that wants your worship. See he says that Jealous and Loving God contradicts itself. As I told him, No it doesn't. That God is a God who clearly states that He wants our Love and if we choose to give it to false God's than that makes him angry. So like the question asks, is God just love or is he also anger and Jealousy? How would you answer this question to someone who is struggling. Another thing that these people who do not want to believe in the one true God that the Bible tells us. That this way of thinking is very dangerous, because this allows them to live life the way they want without any consequences. That is the same when it comes to Other selfishness. Like Abortion, Homosexuality and Drug addiction. These are ways of living that makes us not want to believe in the real and true God of the Bible. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This is free thinking and gives no accountability to one another as believers. We need to pray for each and everyone of these people who are just totally falling away from God Almighty. God is going to judge this world. This is so true and we need to share the Truth with so many people who only believe that all god's are all the same. That there god is our god and our god is others god. Allah is not my God! He also is not the God of the Bible! And when it comes to people who want to live life there way, there god is truly not my God. You see people and society want everyone to think this way. We must stand firm because you know that behind the scenes of all this is Satan. Man is this guy slick. He knows what he is doing! He will do whatever he can to show God up. Just think, if you wanted to get people to not believe, what would you do or how would you go about it? The best way to do this is to make people believe that our God loves everyone but this doesn't make it our God it makes it a god. Not the God of the Bible. This is called idol worship. My God doesn't accept homosexuality and or Abortion and many other ways of living. However the devil has gotten society to accept that god loves everyone and we are all gods children. Remember this is such a lie!!! We are not all children of God... The Bible says that not all are children of God, but that there are some that are children of the Devil. That many are lovers of this world, and if you are a lover of this world than the love of the father is not in him. That none will ever inherit the kingdom of heaven, especially those who Fornicate, sexual immorality, witch craft and many, many more. Come on guys we as believers need to continue to preach the word of God in Spirit and in Truth.... Amen......
