Loaded With Silver And Gold?
I'm not one of these that believe that if you have great faith, that God is going to load you up with bundles of cash, but neither am I one who believes that God overlooks his children and their needs in their lives.
When Israel came out of Egypt, the word clearly states that he loaded them up with silver and gold; and not one among the tribes of Israel even stumbled.
He also sent them quail from the sky and split open a rock, and water gushed out. He also sent manna to satisfy their hunger. That doesn't sound like a God who is unengaged, or unresponsive to his kids.
Do we really see how much God cares for each of us. He truly does want to bless us and provide for his own. David said, "I have been young and now and old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread."
God also provided direction for them through the desert; he gave them a cloud by the day and a pillar of fire by the night. He brought them out of Egypt with joy and rejoicing.
Have you strayed off the path of your own joy? Have you forgotten that he also brought you out of the miry clay and set your feet on a rock and established your goings? Have you lost the new song he placed in your mouth?
Are you still loaded up today with his abundance of peace and joy and a song of amazing grace? Regardless of your struggle today, keep in mind, it's not over yet, God hasn't forgotten you and still has more of his blessings for your future.
