If my people would humble themselves.

God says this in 2nd Chronicles that if we would just humble ourselves and seek God, come to him and pray to him that he would heal our land. Look at all that is going on. Hurricane Sandy claiming lives, droughts all over the US. Also we have many people falling away from the faith. I was ministering thee other day and had someone tell me that at one time they believed in the Bible but now they believe that the Bible was written by man and that God had nothing to do with it. Also that God loves everyone no matter what they are and God created them to be a homosexual and they have accepted that. No matter how much I tried I could not convince them other wise. What do you do when this happens? Can you continue to minister to them after this? Or is it that we need to start praying more and more? I feel that Only God can do this transformation. We are to step back at this point and allow the Holy Spirit to do its work in them. I also have a family member who is my sister in law and is being led by her aunts and family to become a Jehovah's Witness. No matter how much of the truth I show her, she will not believe. This is another situation where I have had to step back and allow God to do it.
What I am trying to say is there are so many people that are just trying to make up a god to fit there way of living. There lifestyle and there beliefs. What do we do as believers to stand up for our Faith? Is there anything we can do? The Bible speaks on this, and this is how I know we are in the last days. Because so many people are so wicked and there are many false teachers and false prophets that are coming out of the wood works. We as believers need to stand firm and get ready for the persecutions that are going to come our way. You watch and see. We as believers are in for a huge fight against the principalities of this world.....
