we have so much input that we don't know how to listen. we become non-listening people. we aren't tuned in to one another be cause we are to busy, our lives are so cluttered that we don't listen
we don't value relationship, we value stuff. In other cultures that are not affluent they value relationship.
we don't listen to God either. this is because TV changes scenes very often, so it is hard to pay attention. the media has overtaken our minds.
Psalm 46.10 be still and know.....
we don't know how to be alone. we don't practice the spiritual disciplines.
It changes when we
1. we admit we don't listen
2. we decide to change
3. we make the change and listen
