Going for the Gold
The golden rule...for much of the world focuses on what NOT to do, and its about what you get out of it. The worlds version is very selfish.
Jesus's version of the rule is about others and simplifies the law.
1. Active- He calls us to action.
"Do": to create, To form or fashion; To be authors of.
2. Selfless- it's not about self gain, it's all about OTHERS!! Take the time to go to the uncomfortable place of reevaluating what is still all about me, and die to those areas so that I can follow Christ's example of OTHERS FIRST!

3. Inclusive of all people!
"Others"- meaning to look at and to allow yourself to be seen.
Am I including everyone I see into the golden rule? Or favoring only the people that are comfortable for me?
How different would I be and the people around me be if I truly lived out the golden rule? What would my church, my community, my city look like if we all did this? So much could change if we really , really lived this.
Thank goodness for the power of Christ and his unfailing love. Help me do this. We can all do this. Through Christ, who strengthens us!!!!
