If there has ever been a passage of scripture that has reached deep within me to open the very depths of my being so that I can see just who my Lord is; it's this one. I am going to share with you what God allowed my eyes to see through Psalm 104.

It begins by telling me that I should praise God from the very depths of my being (my innermost parts). Why? Because He's GREAT!! Ok, that's what you think. How is He great? What's so great about Him? First of all, His clothes are "Honor & Glory". Yeah, that's pretty impressive. God walks around wearing Honor & Glory at all times!! He,also, wears LIGHT. Imagine that for just a moment. God is standing before you & His clothes (robe) is made of Honor, Glory, & Light. I don't know about you, but in my imagination, that's awesome!! To top it all off, God's car (chariot) is a cloud and He rides them on the wings of the wind. God has put everything in place in the sky and for Him it was nothing more than "pulling a curtain". His messengers are the wind & the flames of fire are His servants. And by the way, He built His Home above the sky! God made the world, and when He made it; He set it on a very good foundation so that it could never be moved; solid, strong, sturdy. However, He destroyed it with water. So no matter how strong something is, God can destroy it. He absolutely controls what He has made. Everything is ultimately under His control. He commanded the water to go, and it went. when God speaks....creation must obey. God created boundaries for all the water....limitations. So the earth would never again be covered by water, as He promised. in doing that, God provided streams, springs, lakes, rivers....so that all the animals would not go thirsty. In the trees that grow near the streams birds make their houses (nests) and they sit in the trees and sing because they are happy. Why are the birds so happy? God gave them a good place to make their home, provided what was needed to build that home and near water which provides for all living things to continue living. In other words, they're so happy because God has provided (given them) everything they need!! God sends the rain so that the grass and plants grow & they feed the animals and plants that people like me and you eat! Think about this. In all that God created, He has taken care of every need of the creations with what He created!! Did ya get that? I hope so cause it's way awesome!! When God created everything, He made sure that all of His creations were provided for. ALL YOUR NEEDS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PROVIDED FOR!! There is absolutely nothing that you need that God hasn't already provided for you. That just amazes me. How wonderful He is. We , nor any of His creation, don't need a thing because He made the provision for it when He made us.Let that sink in real good. I have no needs. He made sure that whatever I would need was already taken care of. He provided a home for every creation, food, day, night & gave all creattion the knowledge of when to be out and about!! He made sure that we all knew when to rest because He knew we would need rest!! Everything has order.....the sun knows when to shine and so does the moon. there was no chaos! All that God created had order and knew the order in which to operate! That astounds me!! Think for a moment about HOW MUCH God created!! In the ocean there are huge to small and I'm pretty sure no one can count all of them. The earth is full of God's creations, and they know the order, how, to operate! Ships sail on the enormous ocean where a great sea creature plays and they are not bothered. However, we as humans forget the sweet dependence that the animals, flowers, trees....have on God. He made all of us (His creation) to be dependent on Him and His provision. He supplies all we need...food, homes...when we depend on God(as we should) we are very happy. He knows what we need and He enjoys making us happy. We have to depend on God to be satisfied. He is our source of real happiness and joy and inturn it causes us to desire to please Him. We want to make Him happy. When He sees that we are happy,and that we are looking to Him for our every need, then God is pleased and has great joy in all that He has created. For one moment, I'd like you to ponder this .....EVERY SINGLE BREATH THAT YOU TAKE IS GIVEN TO YOU BY GOD, ONE BREATH AT A TIME. How many breaths do you take in 30 seconds? God literally gave each one of them to you. He gives you the very life within your body each and every second of the day. You live because God provides what you need for the very life inside of you; and when God decides to stop giving you breath......you die - cease to exist!! When God gives His Life to us, we are renewed! Everything God created comes alive when He gives us life!! His glory shines through all creation (that includes you & me), and He looks at us (all that He's made) and He is pleased!! God sees the life in all He has created and His creations bring Him joy!!

Let's stop for a moment and let that sink in , if you can. God is so powerful! Seriously,God "looks" at the earth and it trembles! That's power!!! He tells the water to receed, and the water runs away!! Our God is great & very powerful. He doesn't have to put up with me or anything I do. But, He created me & when I seek Him & serve Him, I bring God joy. Of course, the opposite is true as well. When I turn away from God, I do not bring Him joy. He is grieved. When I look at who God is and how He cares so deeply for me, I want to be pleasing to God! I want Him to enjoy me!! He's worthy of my praise until my very last breath!! I want my words, my thoughts, all I do , to be pleasing to God because God is the One that gives me my happiness, my joy. When God makes me happy, I want to make Him happy and the crazy wonderful thing is I'm getting my joy from God and He is getting joy from me.

My prayer is that you meditate on this Psalm and the amazing information it gives us about who God is. Let it sink deeply into your soul. My desire, greatest want, with all that I am(from my soul-the deepest part of me) is to Please You, Lord with all that I am and all that I do. I praise You, Lord as all creation praises Your Name!!!
