Not My Thoughts And Ways Lord, But Yours Are For My Good
Today I really needed this. I had been waiting for some finances to come through the mail and on my debit card, but to no avail, nothing showed up. I began to become very disappointed and distraught and I heard God speak to me and say, "Be thankful". My downcast countenance became as a grateful one and I began thanking God for what I do have. Then I heard the Lord say, "I didn't cause this, but I will use our for your good". I then began to expect Him to come through for me because He knows what I need right now. He knows that my phone bill is due and all of that.
When I read this scripture and the accompanied devotion, I began to realize that God is using this situation to depend on Him more and not on man and the finances I do receive. They are not always there when I need them, but God is, although we may not see it. His thoughts and ways are for our good and our prosperity, while our plans and thoughts are just the opposite and can and will fail us a whole lot more than Gods, but His will never fail or backfire. I'm so grateful for each lesson learned daily through Gods precious and holy word!!!
