Trust God or Lie?
Didn't God promise to protect Abram in the beginning of this chapter?
Genesis 12:3 NLT
"I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”
Did Abram forget? Why did he devise his own plan for protection. He allowed his fear to cause him to sin. He lied to the Pharaoh and the people of Egypt. As a result the deceived suffered and Abram lost his place of refuge during a famine. Lord, help me to learn to trust in you always. May my fears never lead me down the path of sin and independence of you.
